Für die gnade und güte so Ihr Excellencen mir öffters, und in Sonderheit bey meiner letzen anwesenheit in Copenhagen, erwiesen, sage unterthänigen Danck, und erwünsche mir geleigenheit Ihren Excellencen einmahl einen gefälligen dienst geborsamst leisten zu können. Ihre Excellencen haben mir letzt in gnade befohlen ein gutes Iisländisches pferd nacher Copenhagen zu senden, wovon ich auch mit Monsr Anders Stub kauffmand auff Boeßand, vor seiner abreise auß Copenhagen abrede genommen, daß er dasselbige in seinem schiffe mitnehmen solte [.] Wie aber daß pferd hier im lande zu Ihm kam hat er sich excusieret, wie auß eingeschlossenem zettelgen zu vernemen, und das pferd wieder zu rücke gesandt, womit ich mir habe müßen vergnügen lassen. Also bitte untertäniglich mir nicht zuzuschreiben, dass hier auß nichts geworden, weil es mir mehr als leyd ist, Ferner bitte ich mit gedachtem Stub oder mit Christoffer Jensen Lund, kauffmanne in Hafnefiord, reden zu lassen, daß ein von Ihnen dieses pferd zukünfftiges Jahr mit nemen wollen, weil ich sonst fürchte es möchte mir noch ein mahl auff selbige weise gehen sintemahl diese guten leüte in solchen sachen ziemlich unwillig sind. Imittelst wil ich daß pferd diesen winter über füttern laßen, und zukunfftigen sommer parat halten. Schließlich ersuche untertäniglich Ihre Excellencen, mir in gnade zu patrociniren, wo etwas mich und meine affaires betreffend Vorkommen solte, Gott erhalte Ihre Excellencen, bey langem gesunden leben in stetswärendem flor und wolstande, Das erwünschet vom hertze

For the grace and goodness your Excellency has often shown me, particularly during my last stay in Copenhagen, have my humble thanks; I wish for the opportunity once to be able to do you most obedient service. Your Excellency has recently and gracefully ordered me to send a good Icelandic horse to Copenhagen, in which matter I agreed with Mr Anders Stub, merchant, ahead of his departure from Copenhagen, that he would transport it aboard his ship. When the horse reached him in Iceland, however, he excused himself, as may be gleaned from the note enclosed, and sent the horse back, with which state of affairs I have had to content myself. I therefore humbly request you do not blame me for the fact that nothing has come of it, because the matter is more than painful to me. I ask furthermore that the aforementioned Stub or Christoffer Jensen Lund, merchant in Hafnafjörður, be spoken with, in order that one of them take the horse next year, because I fear it may go the same for me a second time inasmuch as these good people are rather unwilling in such matters. In the interim, I mean to have the horse fattened over the winter and to keep it at the ready in the summer. Finally, I humbly beseech your Excellency to speak on my behalf if anything should come up concerning myself and my affairs.
